The city of Qiqihar in Heilongjiang Province is best know as the city of the endangered Red Crowned Cranes. There is a beautiful nature preserve about 30 minutes from downtown Qiqihar that is well worth seeing. Some of the other attractions are Labor Lake near Qiqihar University , Ming Yue Dao / Bright Moon Island in the Nenjiang River and The War Memorial Of The War Of Japanese Aggression.The four slide show below are of Qiqihar.
The first slide show is of Qiqihar in the early spring when she is just arousing from her Winter sleep. These photos were taken in the Labor Lake , Qiqihar University and Longsha Park neighborhoods.
The second slide show is of the Jiao Long Nature Preserve in Qiqihar.This nature preserve is a nesting area of the endangered Red Crowned Crane.
